K. L. E. Society’s Law Academy
KLE Society’s Law Academy represents the Society’s collective commitment to advancing legal education and developing competent, ethical and socially responsible members of the legal profession. It brings together the legal-education institutions established by the KLE Society across different regions, extending opportunities for the study of law to students from both urban and rural communities.
Recognising the growing need for professionally trained law graduates, the KLE Society established law colleges in important educational centres across Karnataka and Maharashtra. Its network presently includes law institutions in Hubballi, Gadag, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Chikodi and Navi Mumbai, each serving the educational needs of its region while drawing
inspiration from the Society’s broader philosophy of empowerment through education.
The Law Academy reflects a shared educational vision founded on academic excellence,constitutional values, professional ethics and service to society. Its institutions seek to provide students with a sound understanding of legal principles while developing the analytical,
research, advocacy, drafting and problem-solving abilities required for professional legal practice.
Legal education within the KLE ecosystem extends beyond classroom instruction. Students are encouraged to engage in moot courts, legal-aid activities, internships, seminars, conferences, research, client counselling and community-oriented programmes. These experiences enable them to understand the practical operation of law and appreciate its role in protecting rights, resolving disputes and promoting justice.
The diverse geographical and institutional presence of KLE’s law colleges provides opportunities for academic exchange, collaborative activities and the sharing of educational practices. The Law Academy seeks to strengthen legal scholarship and professional education by encouraging interaction among students, faculty members, legal practitioners, judges,
researchers, public institutions and civil-society organisations.
As part of this wider legal-education tradition, KLE Law College, Bengaluru contributes its five decades of academic experience and its growing engagement with postgraduate education, doctoral research and emerging areas of law. As a constituent college of KLE Technological University, Hubballi, it also brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the KLE legal-education network, particularly in fields where law intersects with technology, innovation, business, data protection and public policy.
