Ganesha Festival & Ethnic Day- 2014-15
Under Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s encouragement, the Ganesha festival facilitated community participation and involvement in the form of intellectual discourses, poetry recitals, performances of plays, musical concerts, and folk dances. It served as a meeting ground for people of all castes and communities in times when, in order to exercise control over the population, the British discouraged social and political gatherings. Remembering the importance of that day we at K.L.E Society’s Law College, believe the Lord Almighty Ganesha the elephant headed destroyer of obstacles and the god of beginnings & wisdom is the inspiration & motivation to all. GaneshaChaturthi, a colourful festival celebrated on 9.10.2014with a touch of the ethnicity of students with their costumes.
To celebrate the ethnic diversity amongst the students and also to make them aware of ethnicities that are different from their own, the college organizes Ethnic Day along with Ganesha Chaturthi. The students from various parts of India showcases their traditional attire which depicts that our unity in diversity in the institution. The programme was coordinated by student council volunteers & faculty coordinator Mr. Mahesh R .S. Assistant Professor, K.L.E Society’s Law College, Bengaluru.
