66th Republic Day Celebration
K.L.E Society’s S. Nijalingappa College Bengaluru celebrated 66 th Republic day with pride and patriotism on Monday,26 th January 2015, at 8:45 AM. All the students and members of staff assembled in the ground for flag hoisting ceremony. Dr.H.Sreenivasaiah, President Karnataka Ghandi Smaraka Nidi, Bengaluru was called as Chief Guest. Sri.Suresh C Hegadi, The Principal, K.L.E Society’s S. Nijalingappa College hoisted the flag which was followed by singing National Anthem and Drill by NCC cadets. The high standard of drill displayed by the cadets was appreciated by all. Dr.H.Sreenivasaiah The chief guest extended his heartiest greetings and wishes, and spoke on the significance of Republic day, The day on which constitution of India came into force and our country, India became Republic and said India is a republic country in which supreme power is held by the people and its elected representatives to elect its leader. He also encourage all the students to participate in the country’s election process and increase voter enrolment. The thought provoking and inspiring speeches by the chief guest on the mementoes day motivated students to uphold the honour, integrity, uniqueness and diversity of their country and identify themselves as true Indians. Principal in his Presidential remarks said that nothing can be impossible if we stand united, work for the prosperity and development of our nation and thus fulfil our dreams of building a stronger nation in future, we should pledge to take part in nation building in our own unique ways. It is highly inevitable for us to uphold our rich tradition and cherish our culture.
