K.L.E. Society’s Law College, Bengaluru, had organized MATHRU BHASHA DIWAS on 27.2.2016 to promote the ethnicity, culture & language. In this regard an event such as dance, elocution and essay writing was held in seminar hall. The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Deepali Hiremath and Mrs. Anu Veerendra, Assistant Professors.
International Mother Language Day or Mathrubhasha is celebrated every year on the 21
st of February to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and promote multilingualism. Since the K.L.E. Society’s Law College has students who hail from different parts of the country, it is right to celebrate the Matrubhasha Divas to promote multilingualism amongst the students. When students become better acquainted with different languages they become more sensitive towards people who speak languages different from their own and learn to respect and love their fellow men.
