On the occasion of International Women’s Day our institution organized an educational talk on ‘Female Health and Hygiene’ on 08.03.2017. All the female staff members had assembled in the Conference Hall of K.L.E Society’s Law College, Bengaluru, where Dr.Bhakthi S.B, Librarian, K.L.E Society’s Law College, Bengaluru, spoke about the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene and that cleanliness is a habit that should be taught and instilled at a very young age. Further the talk on practicing good hygiene habits and menstruation was given by the class teachers to the female students of their respective classes.
Since our institution shifted to the new campus in Ullal which is in the outskirts of the Bengaluru city, there are no stores available in the vicinity where the female staff and students can purchase sanitary napkins. To meet this exigency our institution, on 08.03.2017 the sanitary napkin vending machine and sanitary napkin destroyer/ incinerator were installed in the first and third floor of the ladies washrooms.
